Quail's Inn, Your Kelowna Vacation House
Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada V1W 2R2
Charming Kelowna hobby (horses) farm adjacent to Mission Park's inner city network of wilderness trails offers a unique vacation experience. Perfectly suited for family reunions. Every age from tiny toddlers all the way to great grand-parents absolutely love it here..
This 5 acre paradise is privately situated at the end of the road in a quiet peaceful country style neighbourhood. Yet a short walk through the park takes you to one of Kelowna's major shopping centres. From your doorstep you can walk to shops or cycle down the Greenway past golf courses, through horse country, and eventually to Lakeshore road. There's an abundance of wineries and golf courses in the area. The nearest golf or winery is within 3 klm while many others are within 10 klm.
Be sure to study the map.
As owners we are here on site to manage horses. Our space, although connected, is entirely separate. The easy flow one level home is very private and exclusively yours. It includes 4 large bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a roomy chefs kitchen, very fun den area, living room with cozy wood fireplace and a huge dining room. As well, laundry, pool, tennis, patios are solely for guest use.
Enjoy this well equipped home, right down to the hotel sheets, towels, and toiletries. See vrsupplies.ca
This property is generally not a good fit with adult only getaways who are coming to the valley to enjoy rambunctious evenings with their friends. This is a family neighbourhood and since we also live here, we simply can't have traffic coming and going, or very loud social activity beyond 11 pm.

A perfect bungalow with wheelchair access
This location was exactly as described with all the amenities required. The entire property was well maintained and clean with no issues. Most importantly we have a son in a wheelchair that had full access to the entire property including the pool, outdoor pool shower, and tennis/basketball courts. The owners are excellent providing great customer service via text or phone responding immediately to any questions or concerns prior too or during our stay. When our vehicle broke down the owners not only provide a work place, but their tools to assist in completing the repairs. This is the best VRBO we have rented and were treated like family or friends, not just customers and that is why we secured our 2017 vacation dates at this location prior to departing. Thanks for a great stay.
Every thing we could have wished for!
A well stocked kitchen, a dining table that seats 10, a pool table, a pool, a tennis court, a short walk to the Farmer's Market, a nice little bike ride to the lakeshore, easy access to the Kettle Valley Railway trails plus lots of golf courses and wineries...it was the perfect spot for our group of 8 active friends (4 couples). The description and pictures were accurate and helpful, the property was spotless and well maintained. It was serene and private and yet close to all that Kelowna has to offer. Lynne and Tim were/are the perfect hosts, friendly, responsive and easy to communicate with. They were there when we needed them although they were very unobtrusive and we felt like we had the place all to ourselves. Altogether lovely! We'll be back.
My siblings and I just spent a fabulous week at this property. We even had enough kitchen supplies to pull off a belated Thanksgiving dinner. Was actually surprised to even find a brand new meat thermometer. Fortunate for us the weather was perfect so we spent quite a bit of time outdoors enjoying the fall colours. This property is perfectly situated, private end of the road horsey acreage, lots of walking trails in the neighbouring park. Most anything within a 10 minute drive but actually faster to walk to stores through the park. The house is very roomy and all on one level. Super cozy with the wood burning insert. Very comfortable and clean with hotel linens and towels, nice stuff. You can even buy hotel supplies. Lynne has an online store just for vrbo property owners vrsupplies.ca. Lynne and Tim were available by text for back-up but we never needed a thing. We will definitely be back.
This was a fabulous rental for our family vacation with three generations. Lots of room for everybody, well equipped overall and the pool was a hit for all. We really enjoyed the nearby trails and the bike ride to the lake and back was a great afternoon activity. Lots to do in the area. Close to local activities including the Kettle Valley bike trail at Myra Canyon and adventure ropes course.
This property was so perfect for us! A superb multigenerational vacation rental! The layout of the house is great! We spent most of our time between the large functional and up to date kitchen, the pool(fantastic) and the pool table. As we were only there 3 nights, didn't make it to the tennis courts or the nature walking trails in the area. The pool deck is spacious and well appointed with 3 umbrellas and enough seating for 16. Even though the owners are on site, it felt very private and Lynne made everything SO easy! The bathrooms were nicely renovated and the linens (white...yay!) were lovely. It was nice not to have the hassle of trying to deal with laundry on the day of departure(bedding is sent out for laundering). I really hated to have to leave....
Our family, three generations, stayed a week at this location. We had a great time with so much space and privacy. The pool was a big hit with everyone and we were so delighted it had a deep end for our experienced swimmers. The kitchen was well equipped and we found we cooked all our meals rather than ordering in as it felt like being at home. Tim and Lynne were great hosts, friendly and helpful with any questions we had, going above and beyond to accommodate us. It is a great location for kids as they are so secluded we never had to worry about any traffic. Our grandkids loved walking to the fishing pond to fish or look for turtles. We walked through the park to the farmers market both Wednesday and Saturday which was just a short pleasant walk. We all agree we will definitely book this VRBO the next time we holiday in Kelowna.
Our family stayed for two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The property is located close to the Mission and central Kelowna areas for shopping and restaurants, yet completely private and secluded, as well as being directly adjacent to hiking trails. The layout of the house is great for families, with the four bedrooms down one hall and the large living / kitchen areas adjoining. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed for cooking large meals (including pizza making!), and is spacious enough for several adults to be working and/or enjoying the space at the same time. The pool and multiple outdoor seating areas around the house made spending time outdoors a real treat, and the access to the pool from the master bedroom was the icing on the cake. Our family is active; Mom likes to run and Dad is an avid road cyclist, and we were able to go for great runs and bike rides right out the front door. The east Kelowna orchards are directly behind the property up on the bench and offer great running loops anywhere from 5 to 20 km long. There are numerous 1.5 - 2 hr road ride routes, including Lakeshore Rd, June Springs Rd, and the whole East Kelowna area, all without having to drive anywhere to start. Our kids (three girls) spent many hours a day playing and jumping in the pool, which has a deep end and is long enough to really swim around, while Mom and Dad relaxed by the poolside. Finally, Lynne and Tim were very friendly and welcoming, and yet were practically invisible while we were there, but were always available via txt message if / when we needed something or had a question. As a whole this was our best Kelowna vacation experience yet (we've been visiting the area for the last five summers), and this VRBO property was a big part of that.
Booked this beautiful house for a girls weekend. There was 9 of us staying at the house. We had such a wonderful time, cooking together, relaxing by the pool and just hanging out. There were enough bedrooms and bathrooms to allow all us to get ready within an hour for dinner!!! We had booked a wine tour, hike in Myra Canyon, and a spa day. We found the house to be centrally located and we were able to enjoy all our activities. I would book this house again when we visit Kelowna.
We had a great family Thanksgiving at this lovely house in Kelowna, cooking not only a big turkey, but bread and cinnamon buns. The kitchen was well appointed and the house had little extras such as tape to help wrap a present for my grandchild. It was spotless, the beds were comfortable, the showers great, and sitting around the fireplace (woodstove) nice for a cosy after dinner family get-together. The billiard table was a great hit, as well. On Saturday we -- from over 80 to under one -- walked through the woods to the farmer's market and back. The property borders on the Mission Creek Park. The photos are accurate. Just an A+ place!
My husband and I live in Kelowna but I had all my family flying up from Texas so we chose this wonderful place for their stay. My family was in awe; this property is gorgeous! Very spacious and so many things to do. The pool was great, the rooms were large and very comfortable and the outside area is spectacular as well. We had a large group here, never had any complaints about our noise level or anything. The owners are fantastic, worked to accommodate us and were very welcoming. The house is stocked with just about anything you can think of-beach towels, linens, dishes, pots and pans, lots of outside chairs and tables. There are some nice walking trails near the house and so many things to do. If you are visiting Kelowna, do not hesitate to book this property! We hope to make it back one day!
I spent the weekend here with a group of women. The house was lovely. Spacious, clean and comfortable. The location was close to city amenities, but felt like we were in the country. The pool is a great addition, both for lounging and swimming! A car is a necessity, but otherwise this house is a hidden gem. You will not be disappointed.
We loved this property and would definitely come back in future years. Our family included 8 adults (parents, 3 daughters and their husbands) and 8 kids, ranging in age from 9 months to 10 years. We were a rambunctious and noisy bunch but the owners didn't seem to mind at all. The pool area was perfect for our family. It is fenced in nicely with lots of room for deck chairs, toys and everything else we crammed in there. We brought a ton of pool toys but didn't really need them. We also brought our own deck chairs but probably didn't need those either. The owners had lots available to use. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and recently renovated. The bathrooms were especially nice and had showhome-like showers. The beds were comfortable and the basics were provided (towels, bedding etc.). The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes/cookware and was easy to cook in and serve our large family from. The appliances are modern and relatively new. We ate all of our meals outside on the patio so didn't really use the dining room. But if needed, a large table is available indoors. The living room was cozy and perfect for late night chats or relaxing out of the sun. We all brought bikes, and loved exploring the trails that start at the end of the driveway (hint: it is quicker to bike to Superstore than to drive, so the bikes were handy to have). The area around the property is really quiet and secluded, at the end of a residential road. The adjoining park has easy and intermediate trails to explore and the kids loved that. The only downside of the property is that it is a bit of a drive to the lake (15 minutes or so). You may be able to find a lakefront house to rent, but it will likely cost you more and probably not have a park-like yard like this one did. But the pool, solitude and setting more than made up for that. The property has no stairs anywhere (bungalow-style house), so could be perfect for an extended family wanting to bring a family member in a wheelchair, or with limited mobility. It was also nice not having to worry about our 9-month old crawling down/up stairs. In summary, we loved this property and had a perfect week with our family. We will definitely come back one day! We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a family getaway in the Okanagan area.
We stayed at this beautiful property from July 25-28, 2014. It was absolutely amazing. We were the envy of our friends, who were staying at other places in Kelowna. All of our other friends in the city wanted to BBQ, swim, and spend more time at our place, than their own. The property is listed to be family orientated, but we were a group of adults (mostly couples) who stayed here and had the an amazing time. I'll start off by saying that the property is absolutely breath taking. It is a private escape that seems worlds away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but is actually a very short drive. There is so much outdoor space and privacy, that you can truly unwind in this atmosphere. There is a tennis court/basketball area, a swimming pool, and tons of green space which is soothing and relaxing as soon as you arrive. The pool area is huge, with lots of room for entertaining, with a BBQ located there as well. The aux hook up in the house allows you to play your music throughout the house and outside in the pool area. We were only able to use the tennis area once, but young families would enjoy the feature. Tennis rackets an other sports equipment is included. The interior of the home is breathtaking. It seems like it was completely renovated recently, with tasteful and comfortable improvements. Hardwood floors and modern bathrooms made our stay very pleasant. I was staying in the master bedroom and enjoyed a giant room and bathroom with a private door to the pool area. All amenities are plentiful (dishes, towels, pots, pans etch.) We had everything we needed while there, and the owners were happy to help when we needed any thing. Tge large living room and dining area has enough room for everyone. We also definitely enjoyed the pool table. This property is actually very close to the lake and also downtown Kelowna. We enjoyed lots of activities like Cherry picking, boating, sea-doing, tanning at the beach, walking around Kelowna, and also pool parties at the house. We were not bored for a single moment while there, and could have easily spent a few more days there. At first we were worried that the owners home is attached to the property. Let me say that, the owners are some of the nicest people I have ever met. They were caring, concerned about our enjoyment, and very understanding when one of our pool parties went late one night. I would recommend this property to anyone. We will definitely be back.
We're just happy to have people enjoy the property as much as we do.
I do not always take the time to write reviews but I felt in this case I had no choice. We we visiting from Norway for my sons wedding in June/14. Normally I stay at hotels but the family invited me stay at this location. I was hesitant at first. I am so happy that I changed my mind. This was one of the most enjoyable locations I have ever had the opportunity to visit.I could try to explain but would need possibly every positive word in the English vocabulary to describe this home. And home is how it felt. The owners were on site and rather than a deterrent this was such a benefit. Charming helpful and simply good people they made our stay one I will remember always. The house is lovely, beautiful location and had everything you possibly could need. I am so happy to have stayed here. Suggest you do the same:) thank you for the wonderful memories.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such kind words. I have to agree - this property is a special place. It has a comfortable feel and although updated and well maintained it has that wonderful, ‘lived in’, cozy atmosphere that allows guests to kick back and truly relax. The house, pool, patios, gardens, and location are perfectly set up to accommodate family reunions, wedding parties or just smalll groups of good friends wanting to escape their busy lives and enjoy ‘just being together’ and having fun.
This property is one of my favourites that I have stayed at. The house is very spacious and clean. This house has a big pool, a tennis court and a pool table, along with outdoor/ indoor speakers around the home which allowed us to have a great time while we cooked in the kitchen, BBQ outside, were in the pool and the tennis courts. Our party consisted of 8 individuals. We were able to have daily BBQs by the pool and the house was equiped with pans, dishes, utensils... etc., which was great for us as all we needed to do was purchase food. The home owners were absolutely amazing, they greeted us and showed us around the home and even though they lived in a separate unit, we had no problems being loud and were not disturbed. We had so much fun just relaxing at the home and enjoying everything the home had to offer. I would definitely recommend this property and will be coming back in the near future.
Blown away. Exceeded all of our expectations.
My multi-generational family of 8 (my aunt and uncle, parents, husband, and our two small children ages 3 &5) travelled from Newfoundland to Kelowna for a family wedding. We found this house online and everyone was immediately sold on it. From the very first inquiry to the day we arrived, Lynn and Tim were prompt in their replies, helpful and accommodating. When we arrived, Lynn met us on site and showed us the amazing property. The pictures do not do it justice. It's absolutely beautiful, spacious, spotlessly clean and very well-kept. The pool is gorgeous and we used it almost every day. The pool table got lots of use, and we got to use the tennis court on our last evening. The bedrooms are a great size and the master suite in particular is stunning. The house is equipped with literally ANYTHING you could possibly need, and Lynne and Tim are a quick text away if you have questions. The house is all on one level which was great as my husband has a condition that makes stairs difficult. The kids loved it so much- the pool, of course, was the highlight, but they loved seeing the horses on our drive to and from the house. There is also a pond a short walk from the house with ducklings and turtles, and a stocked fishing pond. One Saturday we walked to the Farmer's Market which was great. Anyone who visited us during our stay asked where we had found the listing. We had originally booked for 7 nights but we cancelled a trip to Vancouver so we could stay two extra nights! I would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks to Lynne and Tim for everything! It was an amazing trip.
A perfect and lovely spot for a large group
This property suited are needs perfectly. Providing four bedrooms and four bathrooms to accommodate senior aged couples for a golf and wine touring holiday. Everything we needed was included....well equipped kitchen, large dining room (with very comfortable chairs), comfortable beds with lovely linens, close to shopping and downtown area, The house is situated at the end of the road, a safe and tranquil area. The owners were available when needed and so easy to communicate with. The house is very spacious with lots of room for everyone. We were so busy golfing and site seeing that we did not get a chance to use the pool table or tennis court. The swimming pool was closed for the season, but we can imagine that it would be wonderful in the summer months. We highly recommend this rental and would absolutely consider renting it again.
The perfect spot for a multi-generational family gathering!
We spent a five day weekend with our kids and their families (6 adults, 4 children under 6) at Lynne and Tim's and it couldn't have been any better. It was easy, relaxing and fun from start to finish. Lynne responded promptly to our booking request, we worked out the details and she sent us all the relevant information about the property and things to do in the area ahead of time. The home and grounds are well maintained and the house was spotless and well laid out and organized so that it was easy to keep tidy. It is spacious and well designed with a large well stocked kitchen, lots of dining space indoors and out, big bedrooms and so many great things/opportunities for intergenerational play. We played tennis and pool, rode bikes, hiked to the turtle and fish ponds, petted the horses (with Lynne's permission :) checked out the Mission Creek Greenway and swam and swam and swam. Our 5 year old and two 3 year olds fell in to bed each night completely played out...and each morning they woke up and couldn't wait to check out the yard and pool...even the baby spent hours in the pool. It was active, relaxing, refreshing and such a fun place to spend a family gathering. With so many things to do on site, we hardly ventured out, but we did make a trip to the Kangaroo Creek at Winfield - it was a really fun way to spend a morning (go early to hold the Joey's). Thanks again Lynne and Tim for sharing your beautiful place.
Our large family visited Kelowna in August and stayed and Tim and Lynne's amazing house and we can't think of one negative thing to say!!!! This house has everything you need and more; large yard for the kids to explore, private tennis and basketball court, FABULOUS outdoor pool where our kids spent most of everyday!! The inside of the house is spacious and extremely clean and was well equipped with everything you need from extra pillows and blankets to coffee filters 😊 Tim and Lynne are so pleasant and kind and made us and our kids feel so welcome in their home. We will be back!!!!
